ESC 2 R aims to train its students to become future responsible entrepreneurs, capable of operating in a global environment.

The school is perfectly in step with both current and future needs of businesses, a strength that pervades the entire institution, from lecturers through to education and research.

ESC 2 R is dedicated to producing managers capable of operating in the workplace as soon as they graduate. With this in mind, the Business School of the International University of Rabat draws on the teaching and expertise of research lecturers at ESC Rennes School of Business and Moroccan experts in the field.

This strong synergy constitutes a genuine asset in terms of preparing the next generation of players who will be required to operate and to create value within our now globalised economy.

THE PROGRAMME

GRANDE ÉCOLE

MANAGER 3.0

IBPM - “INTERNATIONAL

BACHELOR PROGRAMME

IN MANAGEMENT”

“ You see no difference between your life as a student and that as a manager 3.0” “ Learning through discovery and action in a changing world ”

Every year, ESC Rennes School of Business welcomes around 300 new students onto this programme accredited by both the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the European Foundation for Management Development (EPAS accreditation).

Students come mainly from preparatory classes and follow a 3 year management course, excluding their year out*, with a strong emphasis on globalisation. Manager 3.0 gradually enables students to construct their training course in line with their career plans.

The Grande Ecole Programme focuses on four different study areas that both complement each other and interact in order to create learning synergies, helping students to develop their career plans:

  • Understanding of business management concepts, methods and tools

  • The international dimension

  • Practical application of knowledge

  • Development of personal potential

The IBPM is the first level of European recognised degrees (undergraduate level, BAC + 3), and offers successful baccalauréat candidates the opportunity to follow a professionalising and international course.

Students can also use the course as a stepping stone to management Grande Ecoles via the parallel admissions system, thereby going straight into the 2nd year of the Grande Ecole Programme.

This programme teaches its students to adopt an enactive stance which is then formalised into learning loops, alternating periods spent in businesses, theoretical studies and discussions with lecturers.

This progressive vision underpinning the programme is fully consistent with a business and management study programme designed for future graduates. In this ever-changing, globalised world, the importance of lifelong learning across all situations cannot be overestimated.

The enaction educational method is designed to give students a head start in rising to this challenge.

PGE

Programme

Throughout the Grande Ecole Programme, students are given the support they need to become more autonomous, exacting and professional. From management principles in the first year to sector and department-based specialisations in the third year, students gradually build their own personal training course that will generate considerable added value in terms of their professional career

FIRST YEAR AN INITIAL BUSINESS PLACEMENT

SECOND YEAR : ASSERTING AND DEVELOPING YOUR KNOWLEDGE THIRD YEAR : DEVELOPING AN INTERNATIONAL OUTLOOK AND FINALISING YOUR CAREER PLAN

Your programme consists of two periods introducing you to the key management disciplines and one period spent in business on a predominantly sales/marketing introductory work placement. These periods of learning, work and analytical reflection are carefully interlinked to give you the opportunity to “enact”.

This management course is based around a business creation project. In groups you’ll learn about operational strategies employed by businesses in their various environments by gradually putting together a business plan under real conditions.

This particular exercise introduces you to management principles, such as marketing, finance and business law, and provides hands-on enactive experience.

After four months of studies at the school, you can put your skills and knowledge to the test on a four month work placement. This initial business experience will gradually enable you to build up a picture of how companies operate, their complexity and the problems they face. Not only will this help you to identify the initial milestones for your career plan, it will also guide you in your choice of business for the 2nd year work placement element.

right_vert

The 2nd year of studies alternates between businesses and the business school. Rapidly taking your professionalism to the next level, this pivotal year is your chance to consolidate your knowledge and skills at the same time as developing your operational ability in a specific area.

You will be working within a company and simultaneously following advanced theory courses at the business school and via e-learning. At the end of the year, you will be asked to write a placement dissertation that you then defend before a panel.

right_vert The 3rd year of studies is a year of specialisation. Few professions today can afford to ignore the opportunities and threats of globalisation.

A period spent abroad lasting at least one semester will improve your ability to work as part of a multicultural team. Depending on your chosen direction, you can opt for either an academic exchange for one semester or a double degree with one of our partners. This stage of the course is a chance for you to pursue more advanced studies and to specialise in the areas most appropriate to your career plan.

You will have spent the last two years preparing for this integration experience, with language courses and preparation for international tests, management courses in English since the 1st year and workshops on cultural diversity and geopolitics in the 2nd year, before interacting with foreign students in the 3rd year.

Finally, you’ll embark on a final work placement in order to produce your final dissertation.
